Returns and faults

SCHIST · Coalition Limited · Cromwell, New Zealand · updated 28 October 2026

Your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 come first. Nothing on this page takes them away.

If something's wrong

Every tile should arrive in one piece, match what you ordered, and hang or stand as described. If it doesn't, we'll put it right.

Message us within a reasonable time of it arriving, ideally within a week, with your order number and a photo of the problem. Keep the packaging until it's sorted.

Custom orders

A custom tile is printed for you: your choice of colours, colour-change heights or anything else we've set up only for your order. Because nobody else can use it, custom tiles can't be returned for a change of mind. They're covered in full if they're faulty, damaged or not what you ordered.

Before we print, we confirm your order: the place, colours and heights. Please check it. We print exactly what's confirmed.

Changed your mind?

For a standard tile (one of the set colourways, no custom choices), you can return it within 14 days of it arriving if it's unused, undamaged and in its original packaging, with its card. You pay the return postage. We refund the price of the tile within 10 working days of getting it back. The original shipping cost isn't refunded.

Refunds

Refunds go back to the way you paid.

Prices

Prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST (GST no. 101-576-418). Shipping is added when the balance is due.

Pre-orders

A pre-order holds your tile with a 10% deposit. You get a tax invoice for the deposit straight away. We post your tile within 4 weeks of the deposit clearing. Before dispatch we invoice the balance plus shipping, and you pay it before we post. If you cancel before we start printing, or if we can't deliver, the deposit is refunded in full. Once printing has started, a custom tile can't be cancelled for a change of mind.

Looking after your tile

Tiles are printed in PLA, which can soften from about 55 °C. Damage from heat (a sunny windowsill, a heater, a parked car), a fall from a wall that wasn't hung as described, or misuse isn't a fault. A tile is a decorative piece for adults: not a toy, and not for food.
